Altered Physiology
When the Cosmic Cube altered Linda, it gave her abilities very similar to Captain America's though not the full gambit and not quite to the degree he possesses. She is, indeed, at the peak of human potential but she lacks Steve's strength and altered mental abilities. However, she does posses the same muscle density and healing factor as well as stamina, metabolism, agility, reflexes and senses.
Aviation
During her time, Zinda flew some of the most high risk missions of WWII and did it without flinching or a second thought and typically with less than ideal equipment! Her raw talent and learned skills in piloting a plane have put her up there with the most well known pilots of all time and left a reputation in her 'wake'. She also learned how to repair her the various aircrafts and equipment she had as well as how to rig it so she was sure it would make due. Since waking, she has taken to learning the new and modern aircrafts of the world today.
Combat
Zinda was given combat training from many different sources. The Army itself, the Blackhawks and the Howling Commandos all contributed to her knowledge in both hand-to-hand and armed combat as well as care and upkeep of weapons. While she can brawl with the best of them; she's got one hell of a right hook!, she a master marksmen. Simply put: She. Does. Not. Miss.
Survival
Thanks to both the way she grew up and her service during the war, Linda is one hell of a survivalist. She can work with very limited resources and even hunt or forage for her own when necessary. She is also capable of setting up acceptable, basic, shelters that will do as needed and offer a safe place to bunker down for the night.
Cooking
If there's one thing Zinda enjoys doing as much as drinking and dancing, it's cooking. It doesn't matter that it was something she had to learn to do because of her gender or when she grew up, it's left no bitterness about but rather has given her another hobby, one she's pretty damn good at!, that she enjoys continuing to expand upon and practice. Which she as done with fervor since waking and having so much of everything available so constantly.
Dance
Dancing, especially swing dancing, was a popular way to spend the weekends during Zinda's time, especially for women and most especially at USO parties. Needless to say, it was a skill that Zinda learned quick, discovered she loved, and so was all too happy to stay in practice.
Blackhawk Inc
Zinda owns one eighth of the private corperation that grew out of the Blackhawk Squadron. It provides her with a comfortable living, but more importantly (hesitant) access to their planes and technology, as well as the de-comissioned Blackhawk Island. There is a current effort by Zinda & the company to remove items from the old Blackhawks trophy room and donate them to various museums around the world.
Justice Defenders
Lady Blackhawk was and still is a member of the Justice Defenders though she has stepped back from being an active member for now. That may change in the future, once she's a little more 'present' but even know, she knows that if she truly needed help, she could most likely count on them.
Future Shock
There's pros and cons both to skipping so many years worth of shifts in social, political and technological areas. She enjoys the new makeups because waterproof or smugeproof back then would have been fantastic. The different flavors of coffee are nice occasionally as well. The new music sucks though and having so many years with of aviation training to catch up on sucks even more.
Brash
Zinda Black can be a mouthy, do-first-think-later kind of woman. She acts on instinct and 'gut feeling' and this isn't always a good thing. In fact, there are times when it can get her into quite a bit of trouble!
Authority
Zinda… Has an issue with authority. Big issues with it, actually. She hates being told what to do unless you're someone she respects enough to want you in charge. To date, there's only been a handful of people who have received that on honor. If you aren't one of them, be prepared for one hell of a fight getting Zinda to follow orders.
