Public Identity: Darcy Lewis has a Master's Degree in Political Science from Culver University. She interned for an astrophysist for several years before an experiment drew some unwanted attention. Now, she works for a government agency, which seems to work out well for a PoliSci major.

Secret Identity: Darcy used to player roller derby. Okay, that's not a huge secret. Whatever. She was the bomb. In her own mind. She was okay. Played a few seasons before having to move for her internship.

Background: An Overview

Darcy was born to a poor, working class family. She was a wholly average student having a wholly average life, unremarkable in any meaningful way. She majored in political science in college and realized she was a few credits short for graduation, so, she signed up for the first internship opening she found during summer school. This put her in touch with an astrophysicist who happened to be studying aliens. A freak encounter with an extraterrestrial made Darcy Lewis a Person Of Interest for SHIELD. She bumbled into friendships with several senior agents, and then was offered an even stranger opportunity: a job. Now Darcy tries to balance her laissez-faire approach to life with the responsibilities and demands of being a member of the professional workforce. Her job is a weird little bit of mundanity in a field populated with aliens, agents, and superheroes. Her response to all this noise? Kick back, stay chill, and Rule The World through the power of being awesome.

Multi-Tasker
It's a Talent. A god given Talent. To be able to talk on the phone, drive a car through New York, paint your nails, and eat a Hodgie all that same time!

Appointment Wrangler
Darcy can wrangle a schedule book, make business calls, keep a filing cabinet all indexed and organized, and paint her finger nails without smudging the polish.

Firearms
Darcy has been training to use small side arms about the size of a regular tazer and is about as skilled as a regular beat-cop.

New York Driver
Darcy can drive in New York City without batting an eyelash… while putting on lipstick… and mascara… and talking on the phone.

The retro zombies, they want my brain to eat. But they will not have it. I totally have Daryl on speed, I swear to Jesus!

Roller Derby
Darcy's played derby since high school. Though flat track is her favorite, she can rock a banked track if needed. This means that Darcy's often more graceful with 'combat' manuveurs when she's on wheels rather than sensible shoes. She doesn't care. Roller derby lets her mix the tom boy with the bombshell with out apologies.

Social Media Goddess
Give her cellphone, tablet, laptop, whatever… give her five minutes, she'll can get Facebook working. Also, Darcy's like Social Media DAR-Wait! Lemme take a selfie-LING. Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Pinterest: Darcy has it. Darcy loves it.

As SHIELD Agent, Darcy has Level 5 clearance at the Triskelion and almost complete control of all office supplies and logistics. All your paper clip are belong to Darce.

Pros

No Discrimination
Darcy does not discriminate, about anything. Human, Mutant, Meta, Alien, God, Dude with an Eye Patch. Basically, you're all the same in Darcy's book.

Cons

Glasses
Darcy is legally blind without corrective lenses. Usually, this is glasses. Sometime it's contacts. When on her skates the contacts are usually colored. What?? A girl can pamper herself.

Squishy
For as rough and tumble as Darcy loves being, she bruises easily. What most people shrug off, Darcy ends up looking like a domestic violence victim.

OMG Why do I owe so much freaking money!? Doesn't SHIELD Agent count for like Public Servant Loan Forgiveness of something?! I swear! I've got to pull overtime to cover all these bills!
